Plant It Forward is our commitment to giving back to the islands you love. With every booking, a tree is planted on your behalf, helping to protect Fiji’s natural beauty for generations to come. It’s a simple way for your holiday to leave a positive impact.

No. There’s nothing to opt into and no extra cost. Your tree is funded as part of your My Fiji Holiday booking, not added on top of it.

Located between two nationally recognised Key Biodiversity Areas, trees are planted within the communal Nayaulevu restoration site.

To ensure your trees survive and thrive, they need to be planted in the right place and at the right time of year. The trees funded as part of Plant It Forward will be planted annually and the climate and rainfall will dictate when the planting season will commence.

Reforest is our technology partner powering the Plant It Forward program and they work with Conservation International, the restoration organisation on the ground in Fiji, to ensure each tree is planted with care and purpose. Reforest and Conservation International work alongside traditional landowners to regenerate the reforestation site through the planting of native tree species.

Reforest is a Brisbane-based platform that connects businesses with verified, high-integrity restoration projects. In Fiji, they work with vetted local planting teams and traditional landowners to restore habitats and support local communities.

No. Plant It Forward is not a carbon offset program and doesn’t make your trip carbon neutral. Instead, it funds ecological restoration work in Fiji, restoring habitat, creating local livelihoods and rebuilding the connection between communities and their land.

Most of the trees are planted on private land or in sensitive locations, so we can’t guarantee public access. If there are any community planting days that you might be able to join or upcoming visit opportunities, we will notify you through our newsletters.
